Shihan Joseph Claycomb
Shihan Joseph Claycomb is a 7th degree Black belt in Shotokan Karate directly from Japan, a 4th Degree in Kanzen Ryu Karate, a 4th Degree in Kobudo (Okinawan Weapons). He is a certified Kickboxing Instructor and Sensei Michael "SUGARBOMB" Claycomb's HEAD COACH.
Mr. Claycomb is the first BAHRAIN 🇧🇭 National Karate Team Coach in the mid 90's leading the country to its FIRST EVER medal victories and PODIUM PLACEMENTS in the GULF REGION championships.

Currently Mr. Claycomb is under the direct tutelage of Master Toshiatsu Sasaki (8th Dan) who is the President of Japan Karate-do Maruyoshikai Organization - JMKO
Shihan Claycomb began his martial arts journey at the age of seven. He has trained internationally & locally his entire life and has been privileged to have trained with many high-ranking instructors and some of the best traditional martial artists in the world.
Mr. Claycomb has studied a variety martial arts such as Kung Fu, Tae Kwon do, Judo, Boxing, Shti rya, Goju Ryu, and is also RANKED in Okinawan Weaponry (Kobudo) and Kanzen ryu, Shito ryu and Goju ryu Karate-do.
As a Competitor, Mr. Claycomb has extensive experience at Local, Regional and National level in the USA and international competition experience in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Shihan Claycomb enjoys teaching practical NO NON-SENSE Self Defense techniques with a COMBATIVE APPLICATION Approach.
Currently, he is the Chief instructor and Head Coach of the CKA FIGHT TEAM at Claycomb Academy of Martial Arts in Fontana, CA.
His main Passion is teaching Traditional Shotokan Karate to his students to pass along his experience and the positive values he has benefitted from in his martial arts career.
