Rooted in a 4th-generation traditional Shotokan lineage through the teachings of Sensei Yabe, Sensei Ryan has spent his career teaching karate the way it was meant to be taught — with discipline, authenticity, and real standards.
His passion for the art extends beyond his own school. Sensei Ryan is proud to be a new member of CKA International, joining forces with Shihan Joseph Claycomb (7th Dan) of Claycomb Academy of Martial Arts to strengthen the traditional karate community across Southern California through a shared lineage, shared values, and a unified commitment to the art.

Together, this growing international alliance represents the reach and integrity of authentic Shotokan karate across borders.
